We provide the world with quality timber

With over 160 employees, Fiskarhedens Trävaru AB is the largest industrial company in Malung-Sälen municipality. We are also one of Sweden’s largest private sawmills – and the most modern. Our investments are about saving the environment and ensuring that you and we get as much high-quality timber from the raw material as possible. We optimize the timber yield by X-raying each log using a state-of-the-art CT log.

The sawmill is located just a stone’s throw from the Vasaloppet start in Transtrand, Dalarna. Every year we produce more than 370,000 cubic meters of timber. More than 90 percent of our production has buyers outside Sweden’s borders.

High quality is our hallmark. Good delivery reliability and the right products at the right time are of utmost importance to us. Our raw material base is of the highest quality. In our area, pine and spruce take time to grow tall and stately. Tight between the annual rings, few knots and high strength characterize the raw material that we saw and deliver to quality-conscious customers around the world.
