The market is increasingly demanding certified forest products. Certification covers the entire chain – from the forest raw material and contractors’ services to operations in the industry. Certification can help make wood stronger in competition with other materials and the more certified forest products, the more we increase the competitiveness of wood-based climate-smart products.

Certification safeguards the productive capacity of the land with proper forest management for long-term returns. Certified forestry takes into account both natural and cultural environments, as well as local residents affected by felling.

It is voluntary whether you choose to certify your forest or not. By certifying your forest, you take responsibility for people and the environment while your forestry is conducted sustainably and becomes more profitable. Certification means following both Swedish legislation and applicable certification standards. You must have a green forestry plan where the proposed measures guide the management of the forest. The plan’s stock information must be updated continuously after the measures have been carried out. Fiskarheden only uses PEFC-certified contractors.

Fiskarheden helps you to easily certify your forest. This is done through a collaboration with Prosilva Skogscertifiering in accordance with both the Swedish PEFC forest standard and the FSC® standard.
